Dr Alkistis Pitsikali

Dr Alkistis Pitsikali is an early career researcher specialising in educational spaces, play and children’s environments. She has extensive experience in researching and interviewing families as well as facilitating participatory design workshops with adults and children (NUSTEM, Sheffield). She has worked as a qualitative analysis expert at both Durham and Northumbria Universities and has organised public engagement activity for AHRC research at Northumbria University. Alkistis has presented her research and has participated in various workshops and conferences in the areas of Architecture, Anthropology, Geography and Education and has published research exploring children’s geographies and play in the urban space.
